1 REIKI: The ancient art of energy healing

Alternative ways are all that we all are searching for, ways to be independent. Independency nowadays has an appealing side. We like to be financially independent, emotionally independent,…. etc. What about a practice that can make your body independent, an alternative that can be a quick fix and a long-term remedy. Our ancestors had various teachings and rare approaches to health. One of those approaches is energy healing, which also contains many many practices. Still, in this article, we will focus on one type of energy healing, the healing hand known as Reiki.

What is reiki?

REIKI: The ancient art of energy healing
  • The word Reiki is derived from two  Japanese words called Rei, meaning “God’s wisdom/ the higher power,” and Ki, “life force energy,” merged to mean “Life Energy Guided With Spiritual Energy “literally.
  • Reiki is the relationship between your spiritual energy and your physical being. It’s the knowledge and the understanding of capturing the essence o the two and learning how to read it so you may stay healthy and well. Doing so, you will be able to keep your ki/your life force energy healthy and harmonious with your physical body.
  • Reiki’s working is awesome practice and quite simple in a very intricate way; when our life force field becomes disrupted by sickness, illness, or negativity, they cause an upset in our life force flow. This gets us down in both body and mind. We will feel this upset in our physical bodies. Still, it will interrupt our life force energy that swirls all around us. This occurs the vital disruption by bringing positive energy and rebuilding the positive flow back to the person both with the spirit and the body.
  • The question that I found mentioned so many times is that can anyone learn Reiki? Can everyone heal themselves? Yes! Absolutely,  Reiki is easily learned and practiced as self-care by anyone interested, regardless of the person’s age or state of health. Children can learn to practice, as can the elderly and the infirm. No special background or credentials are needed to receive training. One of Reiki practice hallmarks is its simplicity: it can be learned in about ten hours of in-person training, generally offered in group class formats, and doesn’t require knowledge of either subtle bioenergy or healthcare.

Introduction to alternative medicine

Introduction to alternative medicine

The integration of traditional medicine, also known as alternative medicine, is demanded by various groups of people in our societies not as a replacement but more as an accompaniment. Most of us are still quite skeptical about the idea of mixing standard medical procedures with the ancient arts of healing. Yes! There is no doubt that the word ancient is compatible in this sense since there are some methods that can be dated 4000 B.C. first and foremost, I would like to give a quick definition of alternative medicine and how it was used and also mention such types of alternative medicines that’s been in use and still until this day.

So what is alternative medicine?

Alternative medicine is perceived as a broad term. And that’s because it contains various and all practices that have some healing effect on an individual. Traditions of rare teachings typically support its medical modalities. Such modalities range from acupuncture and Taichi’s ancient Eastern practices to herbal medicine, Reiki, chiropractic manipulation, and more. These services are often used interchangeably with the term “alternative medicine,” a designation created in the 1800s that distinguished these modalities as “alternative” to allopathic medicine ( western medicine).

Common Forms of Alternative Medicine:

-Herbal Medicine

-Body Manipulation

-meditation … etc

I will go through every one of these and give a proper definition and even exercises that can help you in your daily life. If you are interested, be sure to check out the more detailed articles on every one of these practices on our website.
